I had a brachioplasty (arm lift) done with Dr. Hamwi in December 2025, and at just shy of 6 months post-op, I can confidently say I’m extremely happy with my decision. Dr. Hamwi does beautiful work. My scar is a tiny, perfectly straight line that is already on its way to becoming nearly invisible. I followed all post-op instructions carefully — limited arm movement and lifting, wore my compression garments, and I’m still using silicone tape — and the results have been incredible. My arms are symmetrical, my elbows look amazing, and best of all… no more “bat wings” 🤗 About three days after surgery, I experienced significant swelling around my elbows and honestly had a bit of a meltdown. I had seen horror stories online about surgeons not removing enough tissue, and I became convinced that had happened to me because my elbows had a large overhang immediately post-op. Dr. Hamwi personally called me from home on Christmas Eve to reassure me. After that, he continued checking in with me several times a week. He never once made me feel like a bother. He was never dismissive, condescending, or rude — just consistently kind, patient, and reassuring. Clearly, he already knew everything would heal beautifully, but he still took the time to walk me through the process with compassion and professionalism. For that alone, I would recommend him to anyone. He’s obviously incredibly busy and in high demand, yet somehow still makes you feel like you’re his only patient.

I recently had a tummy tuck with muscle plication at 47 years old. I had carried around tons of loose skin after having 4 large babies in my early 20’s. From the second, I walked in the door and did my initial consultation, Dr Hamwi’s sweet nurse Danaisa and Dr.Hamwi immediately felt like family. My entire life I have had bigger arms than my body, as did my sister. (Thanks mom!) As I age, the skin has sagged. Add having children and the weight gain/loss every time and my arms were at the point of no return. No amount of tricep workouts would budge them. I'm at the stage in my life that I do things more for "me" now than I ever have before because my kids are grown. I started researching how to get rid of these batwings I have and found out about brachioplasty. In all the groups, Dr Hamwi's name came up as the GOAT. I've never seen a bad review. Ever. I did speak with other surgeons but ultimately wanted the best there is and chose Dr Hamwi. I had my surgery Apr 22. I am so impressed with the level of professionalism and care the whole team has given me in recovery. Danaisa, the post op nurse, has been so patient with me. Dumb question? She will answer without making you feel its dumb. Need reassurance? She calls back within minutes. It's not just Dr. Hamwi and Danisa though, it's every single one of them making you feel appreciated, cared for and a part of a family. I can't say enough good things about this practice!

I have had 2 open surgeries on my stomach (one emergency); an old C-Section scar, a scar from an ileostomy bag I had for 3 years and some loose skin below my belly button from all those surgeries and having 2 kids! By just removing a small amount of skin he made my stomach look amazing!! Thank you Dr Hamwi! He is experienced, professional, confident and kind! Equal shout out to his nurse, Danaisa. Danaisa did an amazing job with pre and post surgical follow-up. She has years of experience with surgical patients and it shows! Danaisa is also very experienced, professional, competent, calm and kind. She mirrors Dr. Hamwi's demeanor - makes for a winning team! Dr Hamwi and his team have developed an easy and effective protocol for pre and post care. They also do some really helpful things, like picking up the meds I needed after surgery from the pharmacy and bringing them to the surgery center - which was one less thing my sister had to do. They also help to make the meds easier to distinguish by writing what they are on the bottle with a big sharpie which makes them so much easier to know which medicine I am taking. Dr Hamwi did my surgery at the Manatee Surgical Center. I was also very impressed with the care and professionalism I received there. My nurse in recovery told me that after surgery Dr Hamwi came by 2 times to check on me.....she told me "No surgeons do that..none!" She was so impressed with Dr. Hamwi's bedside manner she said she was writing his name down to share with others. I have had a lot of surgeries (not elective ones). I have learned that nurses that work in the surgery realm know the really outstanding surgeons from the average ones. I’ve been going to Florida Plastic Surgery & Medspa every 3 months since July 2024, and I’ve had such a great experience every time. I originally went in for lip filler dissolver after a really bad experience somewhere else, and now I also get Botox in my upper lip (lip flip) and masseters. Sia is amazing. She’s super friendly, professional, and really knows what she’s doing. The best part is how well she understands exactly what I’m trying to say, even when I’m not explaining it perfectly. I always feel like she truly listens and gets it right. I’ve loved my results every time! Everything is always explained clearly, so I never feel unsure about anything. The office is clean, relaxing, and organized, and scheduling is really easy. I like that they send text reminders and make it simple to book my next appointment. One of my favorite things is the before and after pictures; it really helps you see the difference since it’s hard to notice day to day. Also, kind of an unexpected bonus: the lip flip has helped reduce how often I get cold sores. I used to get them all the time, and now it’s only once in a while. I definitely recommend them and will keep coming back!
